Your Hosts, Dawn and Samuel
Your hosts, Dawn and Samuel, have been in the hospitality industry for over thirty years, they've worked in hotels, owned their own café, and even owned a Lord of the Rings Tour company. They moved to Oamaru from Twizel in 2019 along with their daughter Georgia. They love sharing the comfort and elegance of their victorian home.
Dawn's vast tourism experience means she's able to recommend many things to do and see in the area. She's able to be your personal tour guide to drive you around the region on a daily rate. She's also an experienced chef so make sure to enjoy her cooking by adding breakfast of dinner to your booking.
Samuel used to run a house painting company called Ace Painters and his talent has restored the villa. He is also a keen fisherman so check out his local knowledge!
If you venture into the host's side of the property, you'll usually find Georgia with her nose in a book, she loves to read and enjoys conversing with guests from all over the world.
Century House
Built in 1902, Century House is a classic New Zealand wooden villa. The house has many of the original period features, including the stunning wood surrounds and lead light windows.
It's been fully renovated to be warm and inviting and your hosts have plans for more work to update the house whilst still keeping all the original charm.
